I had four nights in beautiful Tulum, and I must say I was pretty happy about my stay! Tulum is a really nice and cool place with a good mix of locals, hippies, travelers and couples. Lots of couples in my opinion, haha! Tulum has a lot to offer, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you are in the area or if you are planning a vacation to Quintana Roo in Mexico. My impression of Tulum is that it is the place to go at the moment, if you know what I mean. Kind of like Canggu in Bali or Camden in London! I can get why! In Tulum you will experience a good mix of the authentic Mexico, together with a more westernized part to it. You will find historical sights, beautiful beaches, luxury hotels, local supermarkets, street food, organic cafes and vegan restaurants, lots of cenotes, chilled hostels and local basketball games during the night. Get around in the city by bike or take the collectivo. Collectivo is a really cheap way to travel around the area and I totally recommend doing this everywhere in Yucatan or Quintana Roo! By doing so you will interact easier with the locals and in my opinion get a better essence of the culture and it’s people. Aight, I hope you got a better essence of the city through this post and that you might be tempted to go and experience Tulum yourself. Cheers!
